The club organises many events throughout the year.
Club Rides – every Saturday morning
Over the winter from Saturday 21st November the club ride will start at a later time 8.30am from the Ropes Dr/Woodbridge Rd roundabout (2nd roundabout going East out of Ipswich). We can pick people up from Crown Point at approx 8.40am but please tell us if you want to meet here as we currently don’t stop, just ride through. At 9.00am we set off on a circular loop through Wickham Mkt, Easton, Framlingham, Sternfield, Snape, Tunstall and Eyke. The loop is approx 28 miles and the whole ride is about 40 miles round trip to/from Ropes Dr roundabout. We do not stop, apart from the pick up points, and get back to Kesgrave at about 11.45 – 12noon so you are free for the rest of the day to spend time with your family. You need to bring your own water/energy drink and suitable clothing.
Reliability Ride – 19th February 2017 – a reliability ride is usually held in the Winter/Spring months and was historically used for riders to gauge how their training was going for the coming season. You choose a distance and set yourself a time to get back in.
CTT Open 25 mile Timetrial – HQ Wortwell Village Hall – 16th April 2017 – Entry to this event has to be through the CTT entry forms using postal service or the internet entry function in the CTT Website, click on Events tab
Club 10 mile timetrials – The club hosts 6 weeks of club timetrials which form part of a season long series in conjunction with Ipswich Bicycle Club, Stowmarket & District CC and Ipswich Tri Club. Dates have now been confirmed for 2017. Further details are available on the series website.
The Wolsey Road Club also has an annual social lunch where the season’s trophies are awarded. The 2017 event is 29th January 2017.
